The 25th running of the Newton 5k will be held on August 11, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. If you have not yet sent in registration, send it postmarked BY August 4. Pre-registration is $12 and includes a race T-shirt. After August 4, the cost for race participation is $15, and the T-shirt is an additional $10.

The Girl's team will be kicking off their season by competing in their first 10k of the year...The Lady Distance Classic 10k Power Challenge. The race will be held in Blue Ash at 7:30 a.m. on August 4th. The cost is $15.

Where: East Fork State Park, loop G

When: Arriving Monday August 6 in the afternoon (boys arrive at 1:00 p.m.; girls at 2:00 p.m). Overnight Monday and Tuesday, leaving Wednesday August 8 around 10:00 a.m.

Directions: Take St. Rt. 32 east, towardr Batavia, and go past the Ford Plant. Take Half Acre Road exit and turn right. Go approximately 1 mile and at the stop sign (in Afton) turn left. Go approximately 1/4 mile and turn right into the park. Follow the camping sign to the park entrance gate house. Stop and let the park representative know that you are with the Turpinr HS cross country team and have camp sites in Loop G.
