Carolyn Rauen remains the greatest runner in the history of Turpin High School. Carolyn was a member of Turpin's 2001 State Championship team. A school-record four-time All-Ohioan, Rauen was the face of Turpin Cross Country as she led the Spartans to 1st, 2nd, and 4th place finishes in the state from 2001-2003. Rauen was part of four school record relay teams, including the 4x800m, Distance Medley, 4x1600m, and 4xMile, the latter two of which were state records. Carolyn was the #7 Miler in Ohio as a freshman, #3 as a sophomore, and the #10 Two-Miler as a junior. Carolyn was a four-time First Team All-FAVC Cross Country selection, and was a finalist for the Wendy's High School Heisman Trophy in 2003. She ran on the collegiate level for the University of Missouri Tigers, and graduated in the spring of 2008. She currently works for ESPN in Bristol, CT.
