Matt Humke was a senior captain in 2004. Humke led the Spartans in multiple meets throughout his junior and senior campaigns, and recorded a career-best time of 16:41 at the Harrison Invitational in 2004. His 16:41 5k places Humke as the 7th fastest male runner in Turpin history. Humke was named to the First Team All-FAVC Cross Country in 2003 and 2004. Matt led the Spartans in several races throughout the 2004 season, in which the team finished with a respectable 93-39 record. Humke is currently a student at Belmont University.
